- Who's going to be the first to try this great book? Any takers?
- What's the saddest book you've ever read? Have you ever read a book with an unhappy ending?
Now, I have a few books to read. First, I'm going to have a mini-book club with Nico. We're reading a book about baseball. It will prove, once again, that Yankees are superior. I'm also going to read the first book of the "Warriors" series based on many recommendations. I've also got a book called Surviving Hitler that Luke C lent me. I'm really excited about all 3. I'll keep you posted, and keep reading!
I'm the first to read this.Mwahahaha!!
ReplyDeleteHow was the book and what ar level is it
ReplyDeleteIt was great! You'll have to look up the AR level. I think it's in the 4's.
DeleteThe saddest books I ever read were, the "Nicholas" series: A Massachusetts Tale, A New Hampshire Tale, A Vermont Tale. They were full of adventure and excitement, but sometimes made me really sad. I got to meet the author and I got to know the illustrator. She came to my school in NH and my mom still keeps in touch with her.
ReplyDeleteCool. I'd love to check those out some time!
DeleteI never read sad books.
DeleteHa! :-)
DeleteThe saddest book I read was the "The Red Pyramid". Characters named Sadie and Carter lost their father and other family members. And had to face dangerous tasks to get them back. They never saw their father again, but they were okay. So there was no sad ending.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's pretty sad that they lost their father. It's nice that it had a happy ending. Do you like the book?
DeleteHave any of you guys read Turtle In Paridise. Its a Newbery Award winner. Im onley on page 100 something. The inside flap and the first paragraph makes the book sound creepy.
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of it. How's it going so far? Anybody else reading this? Tell me a little bit about it.
